Kitchen Design Trends We’re Building in 2026

Handleless and slab-front cabinetry continues to be the most requested style, usually in a matt finish rather than gloss. Larger single-slab islands, often in a contrasting material to the rest of the units, remain a popular focal point where space allows.

On the practical side, more clients are specifying a separate utility or pantry space to keep the main kitchen clear of appliances and clutter, even in fairly modest extensions — it’s a trend driven as much by everyday usability as by looks.

Warmer, more textured colour palettes — sage greens, warm terracottas, natural wood tones — have largely replaced the all-white kitchens that dominated a few years ago.
