Bi-fold doors fold back in a concertina, giving you a completely open wall when you want it — great for a wide opening onto a patio you’ll use for entertaining. The trade-off is that when closed, the folded panels create slightly thicker sightlines than a slider.
Sliding doors give you fewer, larger panes of glass and a cleaner look when closed, with the option to leave just one section open for ventilation without exposing the whole wall. They tend to suit narrower openings or where you want an unbroken view of the garden even when the doors are shut.
We spec both regularly and will talk you through which suits your opening, orientation and budget before you commit to either.
